It was a pleasure to see Dame Sarra get off the mark for long term owners Austin and June Allison at Wolverhampton on Wednesday evening. She was given a positive front running ride by Josie Gordon who had finished second on her last time out and then went on to win comfortably. The filly has taken time to mature and put it all together on the racecourse but hopefully can continue to build on this.
The following afternoon the Andy and Julie White owned No Surrender won the 1m2f Novice event at Leicester very takingly under Oisin Murphy on only his second racecourse appearance. This lightly raced gelded son of Gleneagles is a big framed horse that has taken time to mature physically and mentally however his owners patience has been rewarded and they look to have an exciting prospect for this season and beyond.
