It is an overcast morning here at HQ but the rain is yet to materialise, we should get some steady rain from Midday onwards which is much needed.

Ruysch was slowly away yesterday at Epsom and stayed on late in the day in the 7f Nursery without really threatening to trouble the principles. She looks like she may need a mile on a more conventional track. Global Style was third in the extended Mile Maiden, the winner knew his job and was very impressive but our horse ran respectably. Being a Nathaniel he should improve with time and he still has some strengthening up to do.

We run two horses today. Storm Jazz runs in the second division of the Lingfield 7f fillies’ Median Auction at 2:40. She showed promise at Windsor and should improve for a seventh furlong. I expect her to run well but there has been money for the well drawn newcomer Teppal and Awesometank was quite well backed at Newcastle in a strong race when disappointing.

Mudallel improved significantly for the return to a mile last time and I hope he can produce more of the same this evening at Kempton in the 6:25. Under Control returns from a year off the track but he was progressive at two and if he is ready to roll then he looks like being a danger. Esprit De Corps was slowly away last time and looks a hard horse to get right by if he stays the mile this evening he is a major player and the same can be said for Queensbrydge who is starting to look well handicapped and he shaped with a lot more promise last time.
