It has been damp in HQ and there is another wet and windy day forecast for tomorrow, the water table it very high at the moment. We have continued to tick away with the majority of the horses and it is a very quiet period for us at the moment with only five horses ready to run.

Global Wonder was slowly away at Chelmsford on Saturday and did not get a clear run when making his challenge, there is a race to be won with him now he is settling better.

We are making a rare trip to Southwell today with Global Angel who runs in the 1:20, he appears to gallop rather than quicken and so we hope the surface will suit him. It is a very open looking race and Going Native is the form pick after a respectable third last time. She also has some solid form at Newcastle under her belt and given she has experienced the Fibresand she is the rightful favourite. Imperial Red showed some ability on debut and has since disappointed but remains unexposed and sports first time headgear. Isoletta has been consistent at a low level and Hilborough showed a little ability last time on fourth start. Amity Island has experience at Southwell but needs to step up on his third in a claimer last time. Our son of Dark Angel wasn’t suited by being at the rear of the field off of a slow gallop last time but he has a little ability and if he takes a liking to the surface he should not be too far away.
