Mudallel

We have had a mainly dry week here at HQ but there is some rain in the forecast and it could be good ground at the July Course on Friday evening. It has been a quiet start to the week for us with no runners on Monday and Tuesday but we are likely to have a fair few runners over the rest of the week. It was a fantastic day for English Trainers over at Deauville yesterday with two of the three Group winners trained over here and it was very nearly a clean sweep. Enable solidified at the head of the Arc market after the two Rouget horses failed to fire and if she can get to France in the same form as she has been recently, it is hard to see what can beat her.

We run three horses at Kempton this evening. Global Exceed was second at Lingfield on Saturday evening from a bad draw and if he can back that run up he should go very close. The seventh furlong and the surface should lead to some improvement and he is drawn well in five. It does not look like a strong affair but plenty are open to improvement and he is running back quite quickly which is always a concern but he seems to have taken the last race well.

Mudallel ran well here last week and shaped as though this eighth furlong will bring about improvement now that he has learnt to settle. He is badly drawn in stall eleven which is a concern. Scoones looks like he could be an improver and has been well backed off of a basement mark, Dangerous Ends has won his last three here and deserves a lot of respect. Music Lesson is consistent and Precious Angel showed more last time but it doesn’t look a deep race.

Zamadance runs in the last at 9:10 and returns to a venue where he has won before. The wide draw is a concern from 13 but hopefully he can find some cover and settle. If he does settle and get a good position then his best form gives him each way claims in what is an ordinary race. Wolfcatcherjack  steps up markedly in trip and could easily be a typical Sir Mark improver whilst Howardian Hills improved for front running tactics last time and if Kieran Shoemark can get him across from his bad draw, he has strong each way claims
