Apprentice jockey Luke Carson and Molly

A grey morning but the temperature has been well above freezing again. Everything went smoothly this morning and the horses all stretched their legs up Warren Hill.  We have all got in the spirit for Cheltenham and thirty five of us have entered a tipping competition that will run through the four days of the festival. Some have taken it more seriously than others!

Once Cheltenham is over for the day there is an All-weather card at Wolverhampton and we run two there. Vivre Pour Vivre runs in the maiden at 7:40. He is a lovely stamp of a horse that you would expect to come into his own as a three year old. I am sure he will get further in time but I am expecting him to run a nice race this evening. The vibes suggest it is a stronger race than it appears on paper but the horses are running well and I look forward to seeing him back on the track. Blushes runs in the last and is making her handicap debut off of a mark of 60. She is having her first run since the end of September so it is a big ask to carry top weight and she is drawn out wide in stall 9. I hope she will run a good race but I would have been happier if she had been drawn closer to the rail.

It looks to be a fantastic card today at Cheltenham even without the Champion Hurdle first and second from last year. I hope everyone that is heading there has a fantastic time. Douvan should be very exciting to watch in the Arkle and I hope that Annie Power finally gets the festival win that she deserves.
