Hello from Newmarket. We have a busy day ahead with four runners spread across three meetings. Hopefully all will give a good account!

First to post is Rainbow Spirit at Lingfield in the 7f Novice Fillies Stakes at 2.00. this will be her second outing after making her debut at Newmarket in August. Today’s contest will in all probability be too hot for her, and I will be pleased if she shows some improvement. David Probert rides.

Next to Yarmouth where Toro Dorado goes to post in the 6f Novice Stakes at 2.20. Thus far he has been finding it tough going, and with the potential of the opposition today, it looks like it will be more of the same! However, he needs the experience and I will be pleased if he makes a reasonable showing. Jack Mitchell takes the ride.

Our third runner is at Redcar where Reddiac lines up for the 7f Nursery at 2.40. He has shown flashes of form along with some disappointing performances. On his latest run at Leicester he stayed on well after getting slightly squeezed leaving the stalls. The handicapper dropped him a pound for that run, and I hope his mark of 68 is workable. It is a competitive race, but with a clean break from the stalls, I hope he can run well and give him a solid EW chance. Ed Greatrex rides.

Our final runner of the day is again at Lingfield when Dubai Frame goes in the 2m 0-65 handicap at 5.00. He put in his best performance of the season when collared late on over the extended 2 miles at Newcastle last time out. The handicapper agreed and raised him 2lb for this effort to a mark of 64. Today we will see if this is correct and in a competitive race I hope he can play a part in the finish! Rab Havlin rides.

All the best,

Ed
