Global Spirit

The Tattersalls Book1 Sale is almost over and it has been incredibly strong at the top end. It was fascinating to see Godolphin and Coolmore go head to head for a Galileo filly and Godolphin ended up signing the docket for the daughter of Dank at £4m. We now have Book 2 to look through and I hope I can find some hidden gems within the offerings.

Mr Gent was third at Salisbury yesterday. He didn’t quite see out the 7f in the heavy ground and we may well drop him back to 6f next time. Sageness was slowly away and had a wide tip in the fillies’ Maiden whilst Navajo Squaw ran very green but finished her race off well.

We run two horses this evening. Global Angel runs in a strong 10f Maiden at 18:45. He is still strengthening and will be more competitive in handicap company. King Kevin runs in the 10f handicap at 19:45 and has the widest draw of all to contend with out in stall fifteen. It will be very difficult for him from there but I hope he can run respectably. Kohinoor Diamon is a scopey filly who could well improve significantly for this step up in trip and she looks interesting in a bad race.
