We have had a beautiful day here in Newmarket although it was colt out on the heath earlier this morning. It looks like we may get some rain early next week and then it looks like we may get a drier spell of weather which would be fantastic.
Faay was disadvantaged by the tempo of the race yesterday but ran respectably and I hope there is a race to be won with her.
Global Wonder runs in the 5:20 at Wolverhampton this evening. He has been gelded since he last ran and I hope that he will now settle better than he has done in his races at times. The drop back to seven furlongs should also help him to relax in the early stages of the race and I hope he can show us something to build on. It does not look a very strong race but he has been disappointing so far. The most obvious winner looks to be Ghost who broke her Maiden last time and there may be more to come from her stepping up in trip. Foxy Lady has been knocking on the door and has a valuable five pounds taken off and Lope De Loop is lightly raced and has shown a little ability.
