It is another beautiful day here in Newmarket and the horses are enjoying the sun on their backs. I was able to do a little bit more with some of the two year-olds this morning and I hope we can start to press on gently with them now.

Conflagration was undone by his wide draw last night. He had to be dropped in from stall fourteen and he made up some decent ground from the rear. There will be a little race in him when the draw is kinder to him. Decoration Of War showed up for a long way from his low draw in the Wood Ditton earlier but was a little too enthusiastic early and faded late on in the race. There looks to be some ability there.

Agar’s Plough and Global Wonder run later on today. Agar’s Plough runs in the last at Newmarket, run at 17:55. He ran very well at Ascot when second in very soft ground and then was disappointing on his final two starts. Whilst he will step forward from this run he has ability and I am hoping that his mark will prove workable at some stage, if it is not today. Breath Caught was very impressive on his last start at two and has been well supported. He is very short and plenty of his rivals have potential. Launceston Place could be interesting having had the benefit of a recent run.

Global Wonder missed the break last time and would have gone close at Wolverhampton if he had broken better. This mile trip will suit and he will be able to run through horses up at Newcastle. He has been frustrating but it is a 0-60 and whilst you would not want to be too confident, he does look to hold good each way claims. Most of his rivals are frustrating sorts but the favourite Odds On Oli is atleast consistent and that can’t be said about many of the runners.
