It remains mild for the time of year here at HQ. I worked three horses on the Al Bahathri this morning in preparation for their engagements next week. Marwa was our only runner yesterday, she travelled well but I was slighty disappointed with her fifth place finish. She did meet some trouble in running and did not get the chance to find her stride in the home straight, so I hope she can take a step forward on her third start.
Arnarson is our only runner today at Newcastle. He is a scopey son of Exceed And Excel who showed a deal of promise on debut and I hope he can improve on that run today. Newcastle is a stiff track but I hope he will settle as well as last time so that he sees out the 7f there. He has much the best form on offer but there are a handful of unraced horses that could prove to be smart and they are trained by trainers that must be respected. I hope his experience will stand him in good stead.
