It is another miserable day in HQ and we have had steady drizzle all morning. There looks to be some excellent racing out in Dubai later on today and it is amazing to think Ertijaal is running in a handicap off of 118.
Colourful Career ran well last night and just didn’t stay the extra furlong, we will drop him back in trip next time.
Arnarson is our sole runner this evening at Chelmsford. He came right back to his best form last time and although we would rather be running back at Wolverhampton we have been forced into running here given he has been raised nine pounds by the handicapper for his win last week. He has run respectably here before in a stronger race over six furlongs and he appears to be better over tonight’s seven furlong trip. If he runs to the same form of last week he should win but he does also have a tricky draw in seven to overcome. Cainhoe Star’s progression has halted recently but 7f around Chelmsford appears to be his optimum and he knows how to win, he would rate our biggest danger. Out Of The Ashes has taken two big backward steps since a creditable second in the Summer over course and distance but he is very well handicapped if returning to anywhere near to his best.
