Testosterone is back to winning ways

Thu 11 April 2013

TESTOSTERONE returned to winning ways at Nottingham yesterday when running out a facile winner of the Listed EBF Betfred Barry Hills ‘Further Flight' Stakes. Ryan Moore had her neatly in behind the leaders and sent her to the front at the three furlong marker, where she went on to score readily by three and a quarter lengths. Mr Nurlan Bizakov's filly was previously a Group 2 winner in France and Group 1 placed when second in the Prix Vermeille. She was a high profile purchase at the Tattersalls in 2011 but had issues last year and never seemed to come right.
"She had a major sinus operation last year and was pretty sick and I could never get her right. I suggested she was retired and she went back to her owners stud, blossomed and then sent back. I am delighted to get her back on track, the ground suited and we will probably drop her back in trip and stick to her own sex. The Lancashire Oaks could be the plan now. Ryan said not to go further and I think he's right." -Ed
