STERLING KNIGHT bounces back and our Royal Ascot runners

Thu 22 June 2023

On Monday night at Windsor Paul Turners STERLING KNIGHT managed to get his head back in front after a quiet start to his campaign. This son of Camelot hit some really good form last autumn when winning two 6f Class 3 contests on heavy ground at Haydock and was a horse that we were all really looking forward to seeing run this season. Consequently it was enjoyable to see him return to form and take the race at Windsor under David Probert, on which he can hopefully build on for the rest of the year. Congratulations go to Mr Turner and connections.

We end the week with two runners at the Royal meeting on Friday. HAUNTED DREAM will line up in the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes at 3.50 for Mr Paul Turner with Dan Muscutt taking the ride. ‘Casper’ is a yard favourite and deservingly takes his place after winning well at Chelmsford on his seasonal debut.  At 5.00 POLLY POTT will run in the Class 2 Sandringham Stakes for owners Andrew and Jane Megson, ridden by Billy Loughnane. A winner of the Group 2 May Hill Stakes as a 2 year old we are really looking forward to seeing her run. Best of luck to all connections.
