The Paul Turner owned Lenny’s Spirit returned to Newbury on Friday under lady amateur Sophie Smith after they dead heated for the win here 2 starts previous. This time round the pair managed to hold on to the outright win in a tight finish having made all the running.
Sophie is currently leading the Ladies Amateur Championship with the help of Lenny and a win on the Tony Newcombe trained Bug Boy in the Ladies Amateur Derby at Epsom.
It was fantastic to see Lenny and Sophie get the deserved win and it wont be long until they are back out aiming to extend Sophies lead in the championship! Congratulations once again to Mr Turner and groom Tristan Mustard.
