Social Media

It is a beautiful morning here at HQ but it has been extremely cold and there is a frost in the ground. The most forward of the youngsters had their first hack up Warren Hill this week and although it is very early days there seem to be some lovely types amongst them.

We have two runners today at the early time of 11:50 and then extremely late on at 8:45. We have dropped Alligator into a seller at Lingfield this morning and he has once more been drawn badly but there are only eight runners. Bazwind is the horse to beat on the ratings and whilst he has been out of the frame of late he drops down in class from a 0-75, he does have to prove he stays one mile. Joyful Dream receives the fillies’ allowance and she has some solid form to her name. We are third best in at the ratings and if he can get some cover and settles in the reapplied blinkers then Alligator has a chance if he runs his race as none of the field are guaranteed to run to their best.

Social Media tackles two miles for the first time this evening and the way she stayed on over 1m6f last time suggests the trip should not pose a problem. Her last race was a slowly run affair and she was poorly placed as she had to drop in from her wide draw, so she can rate better than the bare form. If Delagoa Bay can back up her Kempton win then she has solid claims but history suggests this is not guaranteed whilst Lorelei is a big danger if she returns to her best. It is a wide open affair with many horses out of form and given our filly is more unexposed than most she holds solid each way claims.
