It was an unsettled morning here in HQ but we managed to get to the end of it without getting too wet! It was amazing to see that the predicted rain has failed to materialise at Doncaster and if the ground remains as it is then Idaho will be very hard to beat in The Leger. He has been consistent at a high level all season and shaped as if he would stay in The Great Voltigeur.
Same Jurisdiction ran a race full of promise in The Sceptre yesterday and we were all pleased with her. She travelled like a good filly and Ryan said she just got tired in the latter stages of the race, given the travelling she has done to get here and the time she has had off the track, it was not surprising.
We have two runners this afternoon and Alligator has headed across to Bath for the 1m Nursery. He wears first time blinkers and we hope this will see him imrpove. Josephine Gordon takes off a valuable three pounds given he carries 9:8 and we hope he can overcome his draw in stall ten. Social Media steps up in trip at Lingfield and we hope this will see her be competitive, she will only run if the rain arrives.
