We had a decent amount of rainfall between yesterday afternoon and the early hours of this morning but thankfully it has been dry since then. We are now only two weeks away from the Lincoln amazingly and there is a Lincoln Trial at Wolverhampton this afternoon. Big Country will be out to prove he can deal with a step back in trip whilst Constantino is looking to back up an impressive win over the mile at Lingfield. It looks a solid field with plenty of horses proven at the level but none are holding too many secrets from the handicapper. Chelmsford hosts an intriguing Fast Track Qualifier over 2m that sees Dal Harraild make his seasonal reappearance.

There are two Group 1s out in Meydan with Godolphin unsurprisingly looking like they hold the trump cards in both races. Benbatl has thrived out in Dubai and he is favourite in the Jebel Hatta but his main danger Folkswood is drawn much better. Thunder Snow and North America re-oppose in the third round of the Maktoum Challenge and they are likely to fight out the finish once more but Boynton is unexposed on the dirt.

Arnarson ran well when just run out of it late at Newcastle. He has been in good form in the early part of 2018 and has held his form well. Amplification ran well when third in the 7f Novice and he just got tired in the latter stages, the winner looks to be a decent type. Sir Gnet was disappointing but he was keen early on his first run off of a break and he paid for it at the business end of the race.

Sageness is our only runner today at Chelmsford in the 8:15. It looks to be a decent contest with two last time out winners in there and on what she has shown so far she is likely to be up against it.
