Blushing Red

It was another misty morning here at HQ but the weather has once more improved. It is a relatively low key day of racing today before the Sprint Cup next Saturday. It does looks like being a very interesting Solario at Sandown however as the unexposed horses in the race have a lot of potential and a smart horse may emerge from it.

Capricious Cantor ran respectably in France yesterday and she was just done for toe in the closing stages, we will step her back up in trip in the future.

We have two runners at Sandown this afternoon in the 4:45 and the 5:20. Al Nafoorah was badly drawn in a competitive Glorious Goodwood handicap last time and she should fare better back down in class here. She won well on her penultimate start and as long as she switches off early she looks to have an each way chance. Najashee is the unexposed horse in the race and on some of his form he is thrown in off a mark of 78 which makes him the obvious danger.

Blushing Red settled much better in a net last time and he will have one on again today. We would have ideally wanted the ground to be a little softer but there should still be some moisture in there and it won’t be fast ground. It looks a very open race and the favourite will have to improve again as he won a lesser affair at Newmarket last time. Bedouin won well last time at Brighton and a repeat of that run will see him go close here whilst Parish Boy is another threat as he looks like he is ready to get his head in front again.
