Amazing Red has been a valiant servant to my stable for 8 years now and once again his love for the game was still apparent when getting his head in front in a thriller at Leicester on Friday.
At the ripe old age of 8 this horse still shows his love for racing and having sat third throughout the race under the cool hands of in-form apprentice Mark Crehan he pulled out to make his challenge a couple of furlongs out. He picked up well and was on the heels of the hotly fancied Boss Power before battling him down in the final strides.
It was lovely to see him get his head in front again and well done to Bella Harris Johnstone who rides him every day.
