Racing Staff Week is an initiative run by Racing Welfare to celebrate all the hard work those employed in the industry do. Across the country activities include charity races, quiz nights, bbqs and sports events. We were able to put a team together to take part in the Newmarket Rounders competition run in partnership with The Racing Centre, a competition Ed Dunlop Racing have previously been victorious at and this year was no different. Having played on both Monday and Wednesday evenings the team won both matches and are, fingers crossed, looking forward to taking on Team Haggis in a final this week.
Some members of staff also got a team together for the Racing Centre Quiz on Tuesday night and we finished the week with some pizza and drinks at La Grange Stables as a thank you to our staff and all the hard work they continue to put in. The dedication of the stable staff to the horses and the sport is critical to horse racings success and continuation and we could not do it without them.
