It was good to see some smart horses running on the turf close to home at The Curragh yesterday and served as a reminder of just how soon the turf seasons starts over here . The weather has been more friendly of late and the horses are continuing to progress nicely. We declared two horses for Kempton on Wednesday evening and I will talk about them both in the blog on Wednesday morning. We have made five entries for the weekend which includes Dutch Uncle in the Rosebery handicap at Kempton.

I was very sad to see that Peter Moody has retired from training. He handled Black Caviar superbly and to bring a horse over to win at Royal Ascot is never an easy task. Losing somebody from the sport with the talent he has is a great loss for horse racing and he will forever be associated with the great mare.

I have travelled off to London today to attend a Breeze Up consignors lunch at the Osborne Studio Gallery. The Breeze Up sales will soon be upon us and I hope to be active at them. I have had quite a bit of success from the Breeze Up Sales having previously purchased both the Group One performers Contributer and Trip To Paris from them. Tonight I am going to watch the very talented Adele with Mrs D and I am very much looking forward to it.
