It is a little cooler here in Newmarket but it has been mainly dry. There look to be some showers about during this week.
We ran four horses on Saturday. Dagueneau was unlucky in the 1m4f handicap at Wolverhampton, he was a little inexperienced still and we hope he is a winner in waiting and that compensation soon awaits. Hazarfan ran respectably in a very hot Maiden at Newbury and there will be more to come from him. Sparte Quercus was disappointing but he didn't run his race in the 10f handicap. Qaaraat started off over 5f at Nottingham and he ran with promise, I am sure he will come on for the run.
Fabulous Red is our only runner this evening at Windsor. Stream Song put it all together when beating recent Newmarket winner Sheikha Reika and she could be thrown in off 83. There are not too many fillies' handicaps at this grade and so we decided to take her on this evening. Fabulous Red is a tough filly and she showed great determination to win at Kempton. She has ability but she does have to prove she stays ten furlongs, if she does then I hope she runs a pleasing race to give us something to work on. Time Change was highly tried last year and her stable are in red hot form and Zoraya signed off last year with two wins and there could be more to come from her.
