Global Humor Puts A Smile On His Connection's Faces

Global Humor

Global Humor made a promising debut when he was third up at Newcastle at the beginning of June. His inexperience showed up at Gosforth Park when he got a little lost towards the far side of the track. We expected him to be more professional on his second start at Wolverhampton yesterday and the son of Distorted Humor did not disappoint. Our colt was soon tracking the second favourite Indomeneo as they went an even gallop in the early stages of the race. As they rounded the turn McNamara quickened for home on the inside rail but De Sousa had him covered and he hit the front on Global Humor as they hurtled towards the furlong marker. Global Humor had plenty in reserve and he won comfortably by a length at the line.

The step up to 7f from 5f suited our colt very well and he saw out this longer trip extremely well. For a Wolverhampton Novice event this was a strong affair with Indomeneo possessing solid form to his name and he had a very capable Apprentice offsetting the majority of his claim. Global Humor will now more than likely have a short holiday before returning to action in the near future. We hope he can build on this first win and given his scope and size he has the potential to turn into a smart individual.

Congratulations to Global Humor’s owner Dr Johnny Hon. Dr Hon has been a big supporter of La Grange this season and with some lovely two year-olds still to run, we hope Global Humor will be the first of many juvenile winners we train for him this season. This was our second two year-old winner of the season and after a couple of winners in early July, we hope it will prove to be a fruitful month.
