There was a frost in Newmarket overnight but the winds have disappeared and it is a beautiful crisp morning.

Garsington did not see his race out strongly last night and was a little disappointing but we will give him another try in handicap company and see if we can find the key to him as he travels as if he possesses some ability.

Colourful Career runs at Lingfield today over the same course and distance that he prevailed over, two runs ago. I was not disheartened by his last run as he quickened nicely to hit the front and just didn’t stay the final furlong. He drops back a furlong here and I believe Lingfield suits him better than Kempton. He has a chance in what is a competitive little race. Miss Minuty is chasing a hat-trick and has won off a similar mark in the past but this is a slightly better race than the affair she won last time. Music Major and Bayston Hill have recent wins to their name and should run their races whilst Buckland Beau is out of form and has failed to spark in two runs here but he is on a handy mark.

Cayuga has been given a chance by the handicapper and if he is ready to roll off of a long absence then he has strong claims as he has won over course and distance in the past. Jumping Jack has not won off of a mark this high but he is dropping in class from 0-85 company. It is hard to assess Native Fighter as he is having his first run in the UK but he is taking a marked drop back in trip and his winning has been done over further. I think we are a little overpriced and if we don’t win it would not surprise me if the winner came from outside the top three in the betting.
