Trip To Paris

It is an exciting day for us all here at La Grange with Trip To Paris running in The Lonsdale Cup at 14:30. He ran a very pleasing race at Newbury on his comeback run and has given us no problems since then. He will come on again for today’s run but we hope he can run a very big race and he heads to York fresh and well. There is some rain forecast from the early afternoon onwards but it is unlikely to affect the going conditions too much come 2:30. You have to respect the majority of the field with many of them filling the spots behind Big Orange at Goodwood but he deserves his place towards the head of the market.

Sagely ran a solid race in the Sir Henry Cecil Galtres yesterday, she briefly looked like she may run a place before not quite seeing out her race in the final furlong. Her optimum trip looks like it will be around a mile and a quarter. Sharaakah had a wide draw to contend with and she could never get into the concluding seven furlong handicap but was not disgraced.

There were two more Gold medals in Rio for Team GB and we are not too far short of our London 2012 total which is extraordinary given we have a lot less athletes competing. Jade Jones performed admirably and to have two golds at the age of 23 in Taekwando is very special. We now have Golds spread across thirteen different sports which is quite a feat and this could go even higher if we can get a Gold in the Boxing ring and on the Hockey field.
