Homeric confirmed his liking for the Ascot track when winning The Redcentric Shergar Cup Stayers race over two miles on Shergar Cup Day.

Ridden by Kieren Fallon, the son of Montjeu was held up off a slow early pace and made his ground up gradually. When asked for his effort two furlongs, Homeric stayed on resolutely to win a by a neck, Fallon commenting "He was tough and wanted to win"

Amazonas delighted all connections winning on her seasonal debut at Haydock over one mile. Unseen since finishing third in the Fillies Mile last September,  Sir Robert Ogden's homebred daughter of Cape Cross tracked the leaders in The Betfred/ EBF Stallions Dick Hern Fillies Stakes, before going between horses and taking up the lead one furlong out. She showed her toughness under Pat Smullen, winning by a neck from the Charles Hills trained Reyaadah.
