Treble Up!

Thu 18 May 2023

The La Grange residents have been in terrific form as the turf season really starts to get rolling with many of them improving on reappearance efforts to finish frustratingly close up in the placings. With that it was fantastic to secure an across the card treble on Saturday at Nottingham and Lingfield.

Cues Beau deservingly won her maiden very impressively at Nottingham over 6f for owner Ian Quy after having finished 2nd on all 3 of her previous starts. She is a lovely, straight forward willing filly to have in the yard who will hopefully now step into handicap company with success.

In first time head gear, after a 2nd place finish last time out at Newcastle, it was great to see Citizen General get his head in front and assert close to the finish under a strong ride from Robert Havlin at Lingfield over 1m5f. It was really pleasing to get a second winner on the board for the Ed Dunlop Racing Club and hopefully he can carry on providing the club with enjoyable days out after looking versatile stepping up in trip.

The day was rounded off by Sarkha winning the last at Lingfield for the Miltil Consortium who have been rewarded for their patience with this lightly raced 4 year old. After a disappointing run at Yarmouth on his previous start it was satisfying to see him take the race under a positive ride from Marco Ghiani.

The weekend was then topped off on Monday as Orchestra won over 1m2f for the La Grange Partnership at Beverly as the horses remain in great form. Long may it continue into the summer!
