This Wednesday saw Iwantmytimewithyou claim his second victory in 10 days, at Bath under Hector Crouch.
Following on from his emphatic six length victory at Ripon on the 9th of this month, Iwantmytimewithyou was back in the winner's enclosure. This time it was the stewards' room where he was awarded victory after the horse first past the post was deemed to have interfered with our runner and gained an advantage in the final straight.
The dam of Iwantmytimewithyou, Perla Blanca, was also trained by Ed here at La Grange and owned by the Smith family. A homebred from the Smith family, Iwantmytimewithyou has continued his family legacy of winning for the same owner/trainer partnership. Sophie Smith, daughter of the owners, who partnered Perla Blanca to all three of her career victories now rides Iwantmytimewithyou in the mornings at home, adding yet another layer to the family ties between horse and owner.
