Yesterday saw Hibernate, owned by the La Grange Partnership and ridden by Cieren Fallon, claim victory in what turned out to be a thriller of a race at Chepstow. His victory made it two wins in two days for Ed Dunlop!
Having just been pipped by a head on his last outing, Hibernate was determined not to be beaten on this occasion. Having been headed around a furlong out he fought back relentlessly to just get up at the line. A three horse photo finish was required to establish the winner following an exciting end to the race, with Hibernate just in front having displayed tremendous grit to reclaim the lead under an excellent ride.
With this first career victory under his belt we are hoping that Hibernate will now be able to kick on and keep on this positive run of form.
Congratulations to everyone at home, especially to Steve who looks after him, Prem who has been riding him, and to his owners, the La Grange Partnership!
