The flat season finally felt as though it was upon us this week with the Craven Meeting and Breeze Up Sales kicking off racing in Newmarket for 2023. With this it was very satisfying to see yard favourite Haunted Dream win on his seasonal reappearance at Chelmsford for owner Mr Paul Turner after a couple of frustrating 2nd placings this week.
This exciting 4 year-old gelded son of Oasis Dream was highly progressive last year, climbing nearly 20 lbs in the ratings, winning 3 times and placing on numerous occasions. His win over 1m2f at Chelmsford last night came off a career high mark of 94 and he looks to be set for another prosperous season.
Congratulations must go to his team at home, groom Tristan Mustard and rider Tom Mclaughlin.
