As we come into the twilight stage of the season, the team at La Grange Stables are delighted to have hit the half-century mark with number of winners this year.
It has been a fantastic season, kicked off with Royal Heart winning in January at Kempton. We started the turf season with a bang when Arthur’s Realm landed the Spring Mile at Doncaster on the 26th March in impressive style. From there the winners just kept rolling, as exactly 30 days later we had four winners across three cards in one day, with Blue Flame and Nikki’s Girl scoring at Lindfield, Tadita Twitch at Ayr and Sterling Knight storming home at Windsor. The latter went on to represent us at Royal Ascot, but the firm going meant it wasn’t to be.
This season’s two-year-olds have certainly played their part, with Liberation Bay kicking things off when winning at Great Yarmouth, and collecting a Great British Bonus in the process. She has been a very tough and consistent filly for us this season, accumulating £40,000 in prize money. Look Back Smiling also provided us with a winning debut, when scoring at Pontefract under Hollie Doyle.
Statistics wise, we currently sit at 56 winners (and still counting) for the year. We would like to express our gratitude towards the whole team that work at La Grange, from the staff, farriers and vets, to the jockeys. A big thank you also to all our owners, for their continued, unrelenting support.
