It didn’t take long for the good fortunes of 2022 to carry forward into the New Year with only our second runner of the year, Gilded Moon galloping out best to score in a trappy Lingfield affair.
Having been drawn wide in stall five Taylor Fisher drop her to the back and had to be patient to wait for the race to unfold. Heading round the back straight at Lingfield it was clear that Gilded Moon was still travelling strongly and turning for home she had every chance. Taylor manoeuvred her for a run and she began to pick up closing down front running favourite, Downtown Dubai to win by a comfortable length and a half!
Many congratulations go out to her owner Mr Paul Turner, groom Ella Gresty and Gavin Howes who rides her everyday at home.
