Red Verdon sets off for Australia

Fri 28 September 2018

Red Verdon left yesterday on the long journey to Melbourne. The first lot of horses heading down-under left the quarantine facility at Side Hill, Newmarket on route to Heathrow and the flight to Melbourne. The flight is a long one with stops scheduled for Amsterdam, Sharjah and Singapore before landing in Melbourne. They took off last night and are destined to arrive in Melbourne late tonight . Robin has sent us some pictures of the journey so far and we will update you on his progress as and when we know more!

Let's hope they travel well and the flight is not too exhausting for both Red Verdon and Robin. Steve Nicholson, his rider has flown out in the relative comfort of a passenger plane and will arrive in good time to meet them both when they reach the quarntine centre in Werribee where Red Verdon will be stabled whilst he is in Australia.
