Last October, it was J D Moore and myself who secured the winning bid of 15,000gns to purchase a Great British Bonus qualified Muhaarar filly out of South Bay. This season that filly, Liberation Bay, has gone on to win two Great British Bonus registered races and has accumulated over £40,000 in prize money.
J D and I have successfully teamed up once again at the Doncaster Premier Yearling Sale, to purchase Lot 285, a precocious looking daughter of Harry Angel, which we are delighted to offer for sale.
Harry Angel himself was an exceptional sprinter. At two, he landed the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes in eye-catching fashion. He continued to flourish at three, winning multiple Group 1’s, including the prestigious Group 1 Darley July Cup. He retired to stud with an official rating of 123.
Harry Angel has made an excellent start to his stud career, having already produced two stakes performers from his first crop of two-year-olds this season, including Marshman and Vicious Harry.
This filly has been bred to be a precocious, speedy, two-year-old type, and she certainly has the looks to match. Her dam, Timeless Gift, was a winner over 6f at two, and has so far produced two winners from two runners. This filly is an own sister to Bonny Angel, who won her fourth start earlier this season for trainer Clive Cox and looks a progressive sort.
Having been purchased for just £8,000, she is 100% eligible for the Great British Bonus, which presents an attractive opportunity for her owner to win up to £20,000 extra prize money if she wins a GBB registered race.
“First season sire Harry Angel, has really started to impress with his two-year-olds this season. He was a great racehorse, and looks to be putting a lot of his class into his progeny. After much trying with an extremely competitive market, we were able to pick up this filly at a bargain price. She will look very cheap when she wins a GBB race!” Ed Dunlop
