28-07-2009 Thin Red Line heads for Goodwood
IT'S set to be a quiet week for the La Grange team with only a couple of horses looking to travel down to Goodwood for their ‘Glorious’ meeting.
One of them is THIN RED LINE who looks to have a good chance in the 1m3f handicap on Saturday.
The son of Red Ransom was beaten by the smallest of margins at Haydock last time out and his trainer is happy that he remains in good form.
He said: “To me it looked like it was a dead-heat at Haydock but we came out second best in the end. He is in good form and I hope he can go well.”
Sheikh Hamdan’s DERBAAS will come under consideration for Saturday's Listed Premier Stakes at Goodwood.
Dunlop added: “Once again his participation hangs on the ground as he needs give. He may take his chance if the ground comes right for him.”
Saturday could also see the eagerly-awaited return of BROOMIELAW to the racecourse. The son of Rock of Gibraltar has engagements at both Newmarket and Doncaster .
His trainer said: “We have always held him in high regard and that’s why we have persevered with him.”
