29-07-2008 Coin Of The Realm breaks his Maiden
We were delighted to see Coin Of The Realm win his Maiden at Lingfield on Wednesday. A leak in the irrigation system meant that the mile and a half Maiden was switched from the turf to the all weather and proved the perfect opportunity for the three year old to get his head in front.
Ryan Moore was on board the colt, who broke well from a bad draw and was sat handy through the early stages of the race. He took up the lead two furlongs out and stayed on well to win by just over a length.
We will wait and see what the Handicapper does to him before deciding where to run him next, but hopefully he can give his owner a bit more fun before the end of the season.
