23-04-2008 Ever Rigg sheds her Maiden tag
Ever Rigg broke her Maiden at just the second time of asking yesterday when she won the Swinton Maiden Fillies Stakes at Kempton.
Stepping up in trip to a mile and a half, the filly broke well under Stephen Donohoe and was patiently held up early on. She got a lovely run up the rail three furlongs out and took up the lead inside the final two furlongs. She was hard pressed by the eventual runner up but she battled on gamely to win by a head.

This was a great result for the filly, who is an extremely well bred daughter of Dubai Destination and we hope that she can continue to progress throughout the season.
