20-03-2008 Moon Crystal wins her Maiden
Moon Crystal put her debut experience to good use last night when she landed the digibet.com Maiden Fillies Stakes at Kempton. Ridden by Stephen Donohoe, the three year old daughter of Fasliyev was a little slow into stride and was held up towards the rear of the field. She made good headway a furlong out and lengthened well to win the race by a length and a half.
This was a great result for Moon Crystal and also for her owner/breeder, Mr Geoffrey Bishop. We will wait and see how she comes out the race before deciding where to take her next, but hopefully we will be able to win with her again, especially when stepped up in trip.

Moon Crystal is by Fasliyev, who won the Phoenix Stakes and the Prix Morny Stakes. Sabreon won at three years and she is from the family of Landseer, who won the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches and the Keeneland Turf Mile Stakes.
