08-02-2008 Mischief Making our first winner of the year
We were delighted to see Mischief Making win her Maiden at Southwell yesterday and she became our first winner of the year.
Ridden by Tom McLaughlin, the filly was making her Handicap debut over the mile and three furlongs trip. She was held up early on before making smooth progress four furlongs out. She was pushed along turning in for home and got a dream run through the field, to take up the lead inside the final furlong. Tom pushed her out to the line and she won nicely from Gayanula.

Mischief Making
This was a great result for the filly and her owner / breeder Mr Freedman, as she is by Lemon Drop Kid out of the Grade 1 winning mare, Fraulein. We will wait and see how she comes out the race before deciding where to take her next, but hopefully she will make up into a nice staying type for this season.
