09-01-2008 Horses Go To Dubai For Carnival
King Charles and Coeur De Lionne set off for Stanstead Airport this morning to begin their journey to Dubai for The Dubai International Racing Carnival.
King Charles is owned by Mr Khalifa Sultan and is a four year old son of King’s Best, who enjoyed a fruitful two year old career winning three races on the bounce including a valuable Newmarket Nursery. He was only out of the first four once from his nine starts last year and capped off his season with a win at Ascot. Providing he settles in well over there, we will aim to run him in a 95-110 International Rated Stakes on 24th January.

King Charles
Coeur De Lionne was bought out of Roger Charlton’s stable at the Newmarket Horses In Training Sale in October and belongs to Mr Steven Lamprell, who is a new owner to the yard. He was a progressive Handicapper last season, winning three races and only being out of the first four once from his seven starts. He has settled in well to his new routine with us and all being well, he will also make his Dubai debut on the 24th January in a 95-110 International Rated Stakes.

Coeur De Lionne
We would like to wish the very best of luck to King Charles and Coeur De Lionne and to their respective owners, Mr Khalifa Sultan and The Lamprell Partnership. Also to Robin Trevor-Jones and Terry Fahey, who have accompanied the horses to Dubai.
