28-12-2007 Once in a lifetime opportunity: The Serendipity Partnership
Ed Dunlop Racing is offering a once in a lifetime opportunity to become involved in The Serendipity Partnership.
There are three horses in the partnership:
Ektimaal

Ektimaal
Ektimaal started off 2007 in the best possible manner when he notched up four wins on the bounce. He shed his maiden tag on 6th January in a seven furlong Median Auction at Kempton. He followed up this victory with three more impressive wins in Handicap company. After a mid season break he came back to run a cracking race in a competitive Newmarket Handicap. He was campaigned in some exciting Handicaps for the remainder of the season and always put his best foot forward to give his owners, The Serendipity Partnership, some great days out.
Ektimaal is currently being trained for his winter all weather campaign. He runs at Lingfield on Friday in what looks to be a competitive Handicap, however he is in good form and we hope that he will run well.
Nordic Commander

Nordic Commander
Nordic Commander was bought at the 2006 Tattersalls October Part III sale. He took a little time to come to himself earlier on in the year but he has developed into an attractive looking colt. He made his racecourse debut at Leicester in a seven furlong Maiden, where he ran well in what will probably turn out to be a decent race. His next two races were on the all weather where he finished fourth and fifth respectively. He was Handicapped to 67 after this run and is currently enjoying a winter holiday.
Nordic Commander will return to full training in the New Year and we will look for suitable options for him in the Spring. He is a horse who has shown potential at home and we hope to have some fun with him next year.
Johnny Rook

Johnny Rook
This colt was bought on behalf of Ed Dunlop at the Baden Baden yearling sale. He is by Dashing Blade, who was a successful racehorse in Great Britain and has since gone on to be a very good stallion in Germany. He has bred numerous Group winners. This yearling's mother is very well bred and is a sister to various Group winners.
Johnny Rook has been broken in and is now doing two steady canters everyday. He has a fantastic temperament, moves well and so far, looks a relatively precocious individual.
