Malibu Girl got her racing career off to the best start possible last Thursday, when she won the Racing Ahead Weekend Every Saturday Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Lingfield on her racecourse debut.

Ridden by Tom Queally, Malibu Girl was green in the early stages of the seven furlong contest, but once settled at the rear of the field she travelled extremely well. She made headway two furlongs out and quickened up nicely to take up the lead inside the last half furlong. She was pushed out to the line and won the race comfortably from Divine Power.
This was an impressive performance from Malibu Girl and she looks to have a bright future ahead of her. We will now put her away and give her a break over the winter.
