13-08-2007 Update on Jewson sponsored horses
The Ed Dunlop, Jewson partnership could not have got off to a better start when Chantilly Tiffany won at Newmarket on the day of the sponsorship launch back in April. Since then we have had twenty five winners who have carried the Jewson sponsorship including Dalvina, who won the Listed Pretty Polly Stakes at the Newmarket Guineas meeting and was then third in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Sister Maria broke her duck at Windsor, where she thrived in the rain softened ground and virtually made all to win the mile and a quarter Handicap. This was an important win for the filly, as she is extremely well bred and has now earned her right to join her owner’s broodmare band.

Dar Es Salaam , who is a half brother to last year’s Derby fourth Hala Bek, won his Maiden at the third time of asking at Pontefract in July. He is a beautifully bred colt and we look forwarding to seeing him run again soon. He looks to be a progressive type with a bright future ahead of him.

Emerald Wilderness has only recently joined us but he took no time at all in getting onto our winners board when winning at Windsor. He followed this up with a win at Folkestone ten days later.
Al Khaleej is a lightly raced three year old. He was second at Goodwood earlier in the year and we were delighted to see him win at Newmarket at the start of the July. He continues to be in good form and ran a cracking race at Ascot to finish third in a valuable Handicap last time out.
Our two year olds are now starting to come to hand. Cosmic Art won his Maiden in July at Wolverhampton and followed this up with a win in a Nursery. He lost nothing in defeat at Newmarket under top weight and bounced back to win a Conditions race, again at Wolverhampton at the weekend. He holds a couple of smart entries, including an entry in the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes in September.
Close To Paradise, who was purchased at the Breeze Ups, won her Maiden at Leicester in the hands of Jamie Spencer and Hip became our first two year old to win on her racecourse debut at Windsor last week in the famous Cheveley Park Stud colours.

Other two year olds, who have shown promise in their races so far are Izzibizzi, Marwah and Bavarian Nordic and we hope that it is not too long before they join our winners list.
