15-06-2007 Munaddam aimed at Criterion
ED DUNLOP has revealed that the progressive Munaddam will swerve Royal Ascot in favour of a tilt at the Criterion Stakes on June 30.
The five-year-old gelding has already made his mark at home and abroad in 2007, rattling up three wins in four starts.

Munaddam
His latest triumph came in May when he ran out an impressive winner of a seven-furlong Listed event at Haydock.
Ascot seemed to offer several possibilities with connections considering supplementing him for the Group 1 Queen Anne.
But it was decided that the best possible race for Munaddam at this stage of his blossoming career is the Criterion - staged on Newmarket’s July course over seven furlongs.
His trainer said: “We decided to bypass the supplementation. Sending him to the Criterion is a progression rather than going in at the deep end. The horse is in good order.”
