07-05-2007Dalvina romps home in the Pretty Polly Stakes
Dalvina and Jamie Spencer gave Ed Dunlop his first Listed winner of the season when winning the Pretty Polly Stakes by an impressive six lengths at Newmarket on Sunday.
She raced wide of the majority of the field until being moved up four furlongs out to press the leader, Sudoor. Jamie took up the lead a furlong out and she quickened away nicely.
Dalvina
Dalvina won on her only start last year and has always been held in high regards by her trainer. On Sunday she confirmed the promise she has being showing at home and it looks likely that Dalvina will now head straight to Epsom in a bid to win the English Oaks.
