02.01.2007 - Ouija Board honoured at Lone Star
Although Oujia Board is about to embrace a new role in her life as a broodmare, her memorable racing career is to be commemorated at Lone Star in 2007.
Lone Star Park is to celebrate its tenth anniversary of live racing in 2007 and will host a 67day race meeting from April 12th through to July 29th. One of the highlights of the meeting will be Lone Star Million Day on May 28th, which will include three graded races on a six stakes card. One of the main feature races of the day will be the newly named Ouija Board Handicap, a Grade 3 worth $200,000.
The Ouija Board Handicap is a one mile race on the turf and it honours the recently retired mare, who among her glittering career won the 2004 Breeders Cup Filly and Mare Turf at Lone Star Park.
