15.12.06 - Court Masterpiece in Group 2 action
COURT MASTERPIECE on Sunday completes a campaign in which he raced to Sussex Stakes glory, with a shot at the Hanshin Cup in Japan.
The six-year-old will have his last start as an Ed Dunlop-trained in the seven-furlong Group 2 and French jockey Olivier Peslier is booked to ride.

The race comes almost a month after the Mile Championship in Kyoto where he was seventh of eighteen.
“He never travelled on ground that was significantly rain-loosened but still wasn’t beaten that far,” said Dunlop.
“On Sunday he will reoppose a number of horses from the same field in what is an other extremely valuable race.
“He needs to travel better and we are hoping for a favourable draw. There is a concern as the ground is currently soft.
“While he has won over seven furlongs on a soft surface (the Group 1 Prix de la Foret), I would ideally like it to dry out and be good ground.
“If he wins well, he will stay in Japan and stand as a stallion in the future. If he doesn’t, other options will be discussed but the race will see him signing off from us.”
