After running creditably on his racecourse debut at Newmarket one month ago, Zarwaan won comfortably on his second start of the season at Haydock for his owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum. Held up close to the pace Zarwaan travelled smoothly through the six furlong race and when asked to quicken up two furlongs out, the good looking son of Dutch Art showed a professional attitude to kick clear of his rivals, winning by a convincing two and a quarter lengths.
