Indian Warrior

Good Morning from Newmarket. It was pleasing to see Global Art win yesterday evening at Chelmsford, despite being posted wide for much of the journey. The first time blinkers clearly worked the oracle, and it is hoped that he has a few pounds of improvement left in him. The handicapper might well change all that of course!

Today we have just one runner again, and this time it is the turn of Indian Warrior at Kempton. We have been pulling our hair out trying to get this horse to win, as he clearly has the ability to be successful from a mark of 65. We thought we were finding the key after good efforts at Haydock and Lingfield in June, but he showed nothing on his most recent appearance at Yarmouth. He has had a little break since then, so is hopefully refreshed, and Jim Crowley gets his first go on him. We are drawn widest of all, so it looks like we will have to drop in and take our medicine. Hopefully he will enjoy being ridden in that way and can make some progress up the home straight. Fingers crossed!

All the best,
Ed.
