Silhouettes.

A splash of rain this morning but nothing significant and the sun is shining now.

We worked 10 older horses on the watered gallop first lot followed by eight juveniles second lot. Among the older horses were Manndawi, who holds an entry at York on Saturday, and God Willing, who could also head northwards to the Knavesmire. Everything went smoothly.

Mrs Stewart-Brown popped in after breakfast to see Times Up canter.

One runner this evening as Thanaaya lines up in the seven furlong fillies’ handicap at Brighton. We were naturally disappointed by her Salisbury effort and we are not sure why she ran so badly there. Her previous run in a Chelmsford maiden was much more promising and a mark of 68 appears ok. Fingers crossed she can get back on track.

One declaration for Thursday with Alqubbah, an unraced Arcano two-year-old, set to line up in the fillies’ maiden at Newmarket.

Five entries for Monday split between Wolverhampton and Wetherby. We also put Oasis Fantasy and Manndawi in the Ebor, Zarwaan in the Celebration Mile and Alqubbah in the Lowther Stakes.

Red Cadeaux and Trip To Paris remain engaged in the Goodwood Cup while we left Zarwaan in the International Handicap.

Back tomorrow.
